I recently attended a TikTok event where I learned some valuable insights about the platform and how working with agencies can improve your results.

The key takeaway is "TikTok is not a social media platform. It's a culture." which is interesting when you think a bout it, it is an entertainment hub where users rush to get that dopamine kick.

TikTok is a rapidly growing platform with a diverse user base and a culture all its own.

TikTok is a rapidly growing social media platform with 25 million monthly users in the UK alone. In April 2022, there were 72 million TikToks created and 168 billion monthly views based on 2-second views.

TikTok is an excellent platform for discovering and consuming new things, and it has the most overlap with YouTube.

Here is the overall ranking for overlap (the % is based on how many people don't overlap):

3. Facebook 45%

TikTok is an excellent window into other people's lives, and 78% of users like it when brands interact with ordinary people, not just famous people.

TikTok's user base is not just teenagers anymore, as 32% of global users are between 25-34, and 35% of users surveyed are aged 35+.

There are 25.3 million active users in the UK, with 41% aged 18-24, and 29% aged 25-34.

In conclusion, TikTok made it clear that working with agencies can help brands get better results on the platform.

By understanding the platform and its users, brands can create successful marketing campaigns and reach new audiences.
